Most Maui condo associations write their own pet rules into the house rules or CC&Rs, and those rules vary building to building. Some allow pets for any owner, some only for owners who live there full time, and plenty allow nothing at all. There is no single Maui-wide pet policy, so it’s worth checking before you fall in love with a unit.

Below are the complexes where research points to a pet-friendly policy, grouped by area. Weight limits, breed restrictions, and owner-versus-tenant distinctions are common even within a pet-friendly building, and a board can amend house rules over time, so confirm the current version directly with the association or with me before you count on it.
