Kahana Ridge

Kahana Ridge is a neighborhood of roughly 230 homes near Kahana Point, built out mostly between 1999 and 2003 with some more recent infill added since. Typical lots run 6,500 to 8,000 square feet, with some larger lots above 10,000 square feet, and homes range from 2 to 5 bedrooms, a mix that covers everything from a compact getaway to a full family-sized house. Private roads and cul-de-sacs wind through the community. It is not a gated, guard-staffed community, so it reads as quieter and more residential than some of the more formally gated resort subdivisions nearby.

Ocean views are common from many lots, and the location puts owners close to everything on this stretch of the west side: roughly 3 miles from Kaanapali and about 2 miles south of Kapalua, with Napili's beaches and the shops and restaurants of Kahana and Honokowai all within easy reach. HOA dues run around $160 a month, a modest figure for a west-side neighborhood this size, though it's worth confirming the current figure since that number is a few years old. Kahana Ridge sits several miles north of the area burned in the August 2023 Lahaina wildfire and was not damaged; the neighborhood lost power and phone service for a few days afterward, like the rest of West Maui, but no homes here were lost. For buyers who want a real single-family neighborhood feel, with more houses and more variety than a small gated enclave, Kahana Ridge is one of the larger established options between Kaanapali and Kapalua.
